Anita delivers tailored professional development courses across Australia and Internationally. Her mission to share neuromusical research has seen her work with groups such as Australian Independent School Association, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Musica Viva, the Catholic Education Department and to schools ranging from St Peter College, Adelaide, St Mary’s North Primary, Sydney, Geelong Grammar, Geelong, Challis Community School, Perth and Orange Christian School, Orange.
application of research
Anita works in the ground breaking field of neuromusical research. She has travelled around the world to interview almost 100 researchers in 16 research labs across the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia. She is expert in applying this research to policy and practice, including advising the South Australia Education Department, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Goulburn Strings Project, the ABC1 Don’t Stop the Music documentary and campaign and BrandAnonymous Films in the UK. Anita has also been a specialist expert for the OECD 2030 Education Framework.
review & design
Anita has extensive experience in the review and design programs of education programs across multiple contexts. The breadth of her work includes the Canberra Symphony Orchestra 2018-2020 Education program, creating and conducting The Goulburn Concerto by Sean O’Boyle, specialist designer for the University of Canberra Education Degrees through to the Goulburn Strings Project.
